Mr Karti Chidambaram, Member of Parliament, Sivaganga constituency, wrote a letter to the Hon’ble Union Minister of State for Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Fisheries Department, Shri Parshottam Rupala to implement modern IT facilities for the protection of Tamil Nadu Fishermen. The Hon’ble Minister had replied to MP’s letter on 09.10.2023 that the letter has been forwarded to the concerned department for necessary action to be taken in this regard

Mr Karti P Chidambaram, MP, Sivagangai handed over a request letter on 07.06.2022  to the Hon’ble Tamil Nadu Chief Minister that in remembrance of the first lady freedom fighter from Sivagangai, Veeramangai Velu Nachiyar, to have a Women Police Training College in the name of Velu Nachiyar, in Sivagangai.

Mr Karti P Chidambaram, MP, Sivagangai had made repeated requests to the General Manager, Southern Railway personally and through letters to have stoppage at stations Kandanur / Puduvayal for the trains running to and fro Thiruvarur to Karaikudi for the benefit of the passengers from that area. The said request has been accepted by the Southern Railway and a letter from the General Manager, Southern Railway, dated 12.05.2022 is sent to Mr Karti Chidambaram saying that with effect from 06.05.2022 the said trains will stop at Kandanur / Puduvayal.
